OUR MISSION
The Purpose of the FL Militia is to protect the United States and our Constitutional form of Government, to protect and promote the well-being of the citizens of Florida, and to assist in any natural or man-made disasters. Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America: A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Being “Well Regulated” refers to the people being well trained, prepared and disciplined. Our Founders knew we would have to be organized to stand against enemies such as England or France at the time. The term “Militia” in its context is defined as people, not a military. Black's Law Dictionary, 3rd Edition: Militia: The body of citizens in a state, enrolled for discipline as a military force, but not engaged in actual service except in emergencies, as distinguished from regular troops or a standing army. Everyone that is a Citizen of the State of Florida is welcome regardless of race, age, gender, religion, or political affiliation, provided you do not wish to bring harm to the United States, Florida or its citizens. |

We wear a uniform to all meetings and training for the purpose of professionalism, unit coherence, the common spirit existing in the members of a group and inspiring enthusiasm, devotion and strong regard for the honor of the group The standard uniform should be worn for all meetings and events (Natural or man-made disasters) and training. Additionally, coordinators and Staff may wear a solid green or tan color BDU. |
