The protection of our Militiamen is of utmost importance. To maximize safety and continue to follow federal and state guidelines for operation, the following people are not welcome to train or attend meetings:

Dishonorably discharged from the Military
Anyone with a Felony or pending Felony
Anyone that cannot legally own or handle a firearm
Anyone that wishes to cause civil disorder
Anyone that is a racist

General Rules:

DO NOT talk about or send out emails to other members about making bombs or explosives.  You will be asked to leave and reported to the authorities!
DO NOT bring materials to make a bomb to any meetings or training we are having! You will be asked to leave and reported to the authorities!
DO NOT talk about or email any member mentioning killing or assassinating any person or group, DO NOT do it! You will be asked to leave and reported to the authorities!
DO NOT bring any illegal firearms to any meetings or trainings! *If you have a Class 2 or 3 licenses, then you need to have the proper paperwork with you when you have the weapon with you at all times! If you don’t then you will be asked to leave or reported to the authorities.

*We can’t cover every possible scenario of what someone might do that is wrong.  If an event or action occurs that is deemed irresponsible, reckless, or illegal, then a commanding officer will investigate and review the occurrence. If the findings of the review merit removal from the Florida Militia, then a vote will be presented to the fellow members of the team and a vote will occur to either remove or keep the individual.

Any person claiming to be former or retired Military must present a DD-214.  There has been a few individuals who claim an amazing military background only to be found a fraud.

*No one is authorized to speak to any media or news agency.  We have designated individuals that handle media requests.  Please send any media requests to the S6 department (Communications).  For anyone that is not clear on this, the media is not your friend no matter how much they will try to convince you otherwise, usually by saying they “just want to portray the Militia in a good light”, only to have the final cut feature someone from the Southern Poverty Law center claim that we are all dangerous or worse.
We will not do any TV series.  We have been approached by a few networks to do features.  If you want to be a TV star, then this organization is not for you.  Again in reference to the above on media, how many times do we need to see other groups/people duped by the very TV/Media outlet that said they were “on their side” only to have the final production make everyone look like idiots or worse.

Since this a  group of  people and not a business this organization is not and will not become a 501c3

The Purpose of the FL Militia is to protect the United States and our Constitutional form of Government, to protect and promote the well-being of the citizens of Florida, and to assist in any natural or man-made disasters.

Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America: A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Being “Well Regulated” refers to the people being well trained, prepared and disciplined. Our Founders knew we would have to be organized to stand against enemies such as England or France at the time.

The term “Militia” in its context is defined as people, not a military.

Black's Law Dictionary, 3rd Edition:  Militia: The body of citizens in a state, enrolled for discipline as a military force, but not engaged in actual service except in emergencies, as distinguished from regular troops or a standing army.

Everyone that is a Citizen of the State of Florida is welcome regardless of race, age, gender, color, religion, or political affiliation, provided you do not wish to bring harm to United States, Florida or its citizens. (See the Rules and Guidelines page.)
